Sherwood Commons Stage is the city-adjacent outdoor stage that rec concerts, small fairs, and the occasional graduation share. Lori Benton (bowling by day) volunteers on the friends-of-the-commons board. Lawn chairs appear like mushrooms. Speeches are shorter than they used to be. Kids treat the slope like a playground.
