Midway Pines is not a mega-park — it is a pine-shaded family park with a handful of rides, a midway of games, and a plaza that hosts weekend mascots. Earl Higgins canceled the advertising subscription after a slow spring but still opens gates on weekends. Cotton candy is mandatory. Teens come for the zipper-style spinner; toddlers live at the train.
